 Building up The buildings on the site are divided according to the different functions. The left side of the site is used for breeding chickens, as well as for the technical area and the training of the local population. This is where the stables (cases) for the older animals and the rooms for the chicks are located. The main building, with a length of 20 metres, contains the administrative department and the technical department: batteries, equipment for the solar panels and the incubator.  The administrative part consists of the office space, the kitchen, the plumbing, the bookkeeping, the lounge and the meeting room. At the beginning of each day, the employees discuss the various daily tasks here. The Biopal project uses a switch system. Everyone participates in all workstations in order to get to know every aspect. In this way, the young people of Mali come into contact with entrepreneurship and discover their interests. The right side of the property is used as farmland and garden. This is where the necessary crops for the chickens are produced and at the same time the participants of the project are trained in harvesting various vegetables. |
